Today we had our first adventure in Old Delhi. It was everything I expected India to be only ten times more intense.
We stepped off the big, red, air conditioned tourist bus and into the muggy air. The streets were packed with people. I was shocked. Street vendors yelled to get our attention and horns constantly sounded. We maneuvered our way through the streets, highly alert so as to not get run over by rickshaws or pick pocketed. We passed goats, beggars and people bathing on the street. It was an intense day. I felt vulnerable and scared but also interested and amazed at the same time.
